PES designated as a National PTA School of Excellence for the second time
Lets give a big round of applause to our school and PES PTA!!!
Palmetto Elementary was recently named a National PTA School of Excellence for the 2017-2019 school years. National PTA’s School of Excellence program supports and celebrates partnerships between PTAs and schools that work to improve the educational experience and school environment for every child. As a National PTA School of Excellence, PES families feel welcomed and empowered to support student success.
Becoming a National PTA School of Excellence began with the joint commitment of PTA and our phenomenal administrative team to work together to welcome all families, communicate effectively, support student success, speak up for every child, share power and collaborate with the community. Our school has successfully mastered these commitments and we applaud everyone for doing so.
Thank you for your commitment to our school community. Thank you for helping us reach this noteworthy milestone for our school and community.  A special Thank You to Andrea Gonzalez for coordinating the effort and application process!

Palmetto Elementary’s ACT goal is to raise $50,000.
In just a month  YOU have already helped us raise close to  $24,000!
We’re close to half way there! Our initial request was $250 per child. If you haven’t done so, please consider making your contribution. Or if you want to send a little extra, it won’t be turned away. Donations range from $5 to $1000. Every dollar counts! Every dollar makes a difference.
PES ACT (Assistance for Classroom Teachers) is a parent-funded nonprofit organization whose goal is to enrich and enhance academics at Palmetto.  We help fund a science lab teacher, two certified teachers to assist in the classroom with math and reading and a paraprofessional to run the computer lab.
Please place your donation in an envelope addressed to ACT, along with your name, your child’s name, your child’s teacher and grade and turn it in to your teacher. Please make your checks out to “PES ACT, Inc.”
